Pullman Hanoi is a typical upscale business hotel more then a family resort. However even if Im on vacation I was really pleased with it.
Reception and bar
We arrived to Pullman Hanoi an early evening after a flight from Istanbul and a taxi driver who tried to scam us. So we had been walking two kilometer. We was drenched is sweat and didn’t looked out best after over 24 hours of travel. But the reception gave us a warm welcome, some apple juice to drink and an upgrade to the executive suite on the 11 floor.
The reception it self looks, should we say a blend of Asia and America. There is a lot of seating groups for you wait in. Beside the reception and waiting area there is the bar area where we had dinner after our arrival. The dinner here is cheap compared to Sweden, even if it’s at a five star hotel.
The suite at Pullman Hanoi
The living area
We had from the beginning booked an superior room with access to the executive lounge but was thanks to my Accor gold status upgraded to a suite on the 11 floor. Pullman Hanoi have an amazing view out over Hanoi. The suite is divided into a bedroom, living area, bathroom and guest toilet. The last thing is a really good if you invite a guest. At our arrival we was greeted with a welcome gift.
This small welcomes gift from Hanoi Pullman don’t costs the hotel much. But it does give me the feeling that Im extra welcome every time. It’s a very easy way to show how much Accor valuate returning customers.
The living area in the suite is divided into two different parts. The first one consist of a work desk, chair and a lamp. Perfect for those who needs to work from the hotel. The other part consist of a sofa group and a tv. The living room also have coffee and tea facilities and a mini bar.
The bedroom
The bedroom is connected to the living room and bath room. Making it to the heart of the private part of the suite. Here there is a big kingsize bed waiting for you. And the pillows, don’t speak about them. I love big soft pillows and here they are amazing. Here you will also find space for your luggage and a second tv. The lighting is good and you can control almost al lamps from your bed. But the best part is that there is a lot of power outlets! I was so happy for that, having a lot of gears to charge. The bedroom also have a big window, giving you a lot of natural light. From ours we could also overlook the pool area of Pullman Hanoi.
The master bathroom
As I mentioned, the suite have a bathroom and a guest toilet. The bathroom together with the bedroom creates the private part of the suite. Wile the living area and guest toilet is the more public if you invite guests. What surprise me, is that the bathroom is so big. We can realla speak about a room here. There is a lot of space. We have two sinks, a shower, toilet and bath tube and still some free space to walk around at. Im so pleased with it. And the amenity box is full of goodies. Pullman Hanoi really knows how to spoil you.
Pullman Hanoi executive lounge
The executive lounge at Pullman Hanoi is not the biggest one. On the other hand, its less snobbish then some others I tried. The staff is here as anywhere else at the hotel very service minded and polite. The lounge breakfast have almost everything you can think of. The also have a limited ala carte menu where you can choose your warm dishes from. Every time we visited it, there was almost no other guest. Maybe because we are there later then the business guests.
Sum up Pullman Hanoi
Pullman Hanoi is most of al a business hotel. But its worth some nights even if you are in vacation. Al employee are kind and very helpful. The food is good and the lounge is empty enough to give you a feeling of privacy. Its well located so you can walk to most attractions. To be honest I cant find anything to complain about at this hotel. Its just a good hotel who really cares about their guests.
